Paul Ryan Fails Miserably On Obamacare

I get Rand Paul’s skepticism on tax credits, but I think that’s a smaller issue overall. The real problem with the alleged replacement plan for Obamacare is that it changes practically nothing. Ryan’s bill restricts tax advantages and amends the individual mandate only aesthetically by allowing insurers to charge more to people who let their plans lapse. The idea is to help subsidize seniors by coercing younger people into remaining insured, even if they are in good health. In other words, a Ponzi scheme like Social Security and Medicare.

Just remember, Ryan is the guy who supposedly sees Ayn Rand as his primary political inspiration based on this quote:

I grew up reading Ayn Rand, and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are and what my beliefs are. It’s inspired me so much that it’s required reading in my office for all my interns and my staff.

Oh but it’s fine to promote welfare once you are in a position of power. That’s leadership.
